HOUSING ADVOCACY

Housing in the City of Boston, and particularly in Allston Brighton is a challenge for many residents considering the high cost of living.

Apartments for rent are not only expensive, they are in a limited availability for different reasons.

The Fair Housing Center of Greater Boston provides updated listings.

When applying for an apartment you need to have in consideration:

  • Even if some listings post that there are not any units available you should complete the application and leave it at the rental application office, there are many cases of tenants leaving without notice and the management of the building will contact applicants interested in their buildings or houses.
  • Have all your personal documentation current, identifications, proof of income, proof of current residence, receipts of rental payments, utility bills, etc., they will be requested if there is a unit available for renting, you need to submit these documents as soon as possible.
