TAX RESOLUTION

TAX RESOLUTION

Each individual case of tax resolution is different, for a proper completion of a federal or state tax issue you will need to bring to the center:

  • Original picture ID's of all taxpayers involved in an income tax return issue
  • Social security cards for taxpayer and all dependents
  • Income tax return forms, federal and or state that are involved in a tax issue with the IRS and/or the MA DOR
  • Documentation of all income that was declared in the tax returns of the years that are being assessed
  • For a better evaluation of the income that can be a matter of dispute in an income tax return, we recommend that you obtain the transcript of wages for the tax year that needs modification or preparation
  • All documents that need to be assessed and included in a tax return need careful consideration, a resolution case can take several days to be completed, you should contact us for an appointment for an initial evaluation of your case
  • In most of the cases to amend income tax returns we will need a transcript of wages for the year(s) that you want to correct

TAX TRANSCRIPTS

Every taxpayer has the following transcripts for each tax year, there are three main types of tax transcripts

1- Transcript of Wages

All the reported income to the IRS per tax year, including mortgage interest payments, college tuition payments and scholarships, cancellation of debts, pension payments, W2's, Social Security benefits, etc. Unfortunately only payments to the federal government are recorded, State income taxes are not included in the federal transcript. To properly complete State returns we will need the original W2 forms for the tax years that need to be modified or prepared.

2- Transcript of Return

This transcript describes all the entries in your previously filed tax returns, as income, dependents, and deductions that you declared.

3- Transcript of Account

Shows all the filings, due amounts, and other tax information related to your Social Security Number.
